Sophia, this welcome message sounds like a corporate email. Make it shorter.
Mention Sophia, reply to one of its messages, or use /talk. An enabled DM works too. You can send an image or file without accompanying text. Your operator must first enable the location and grant your Discord account access.
You do not need to name a tool or choose a “research mode”. Sophia decides whether a request needs tools. A joke or a rewrite can stay a plain conversation.
Sophia has one identity across enabled servers and DMs. Your Discord user ID identifies you, even if your nickname changes. Tasks and channels organize work. They do not create separate personalities.
Private material does not become public because Sophia remembers it. Source permissions and memory audiences still apply. A portable writing preference may follow you; a private conversation about another person should not appear in a public answer.
Reply normally after a completed answer. During active work, mention Sophia or reply with the correction. Describe the work you mean, such as “focus on attendance in that event comparison”. Sophia can find the task herself and asks a short clarification if several match. See working tasks.
If Sophia gets a fact wrong, name the claim and provide the correction or source. A model can still misread evidence. Ask for the original message or source when the distinction matters.
Next: research Discord and the web.
The default voice is relaxed, warm and direct, with occasional dry humor. Simple conversation gets a short answer; research and technical explanations get the detail they need. Sophia should not add a follow-up question or an offer to every message.
The voice control in /settings adjusts register: balanced is the default, casual is more informal, and formal is more reserved. These share one personality. You can also ask for a specific tone in the conversation. Plain-writing guidance avoids em dashes, canned openings and filler while preserving exact quotations and code.
